Swollen Big Toe After Pedicure

Maurice Merleau-Ponty came on the wings of the Wind Horse

A little 'sbalestrata the Wind Horse, I buy the newspaper. I want to put hands and feet in a daily reality and I think the best reading. A page 49 find an article about a man who has spent his entire life studying, writing and meditating, a man whom I had never heard the name : Maurice Merleau Ponty . The words that describe it have something familiar. I read about him on the Internet, look at his picture, I decide to buy his book "The eye and the spirit" . Talk about painting and painting me interested. In the library, close to the 'The Eye and Mind "is " Phenomenology of Perception " a volume of 581 pages: 581 pages c h speak of philosophy, is certainly not a summer reading ... I read a few lines, I can not say the words slip away, but I understand the things of which we speak, not in detail , but I understand. I buy it and go out from the library as if I had discovered a treasure.

This treasure I want to share with you because Maurice Merleau Ponty speaks the words of European Culture ' human experiences in terms very close to the traditions that guide our research.

Just because we are from side to side relation to the world, for us the only way to realize it is to terminate this movement, to deny our complicity (...). Not because you give up the certainty of the world and the common ' natural attitude - conversely they are the constant theme of philosophy - but because just as the conditions of all thought they "are obvious," unnoticed and to wake them and make them look, must abstain for a while. The best formula for reducing [ phenomenological ] is that provided Eugen Fink , assistant to Husserl , when he spoke of a "surprise" before the world. Reflection does not withdraw from the world towards the unity of consciousness as the foundation of the world, but it takes distance to see the result transcendences, deliberate stretches the wires that connect us to the world to make them appear, it alone is consciousness of the world because it reveals the strange and paradoxical.

Meeting with the Dzogchen Community

Elettra Cousins sent to our blog 's invitation to all of us to participate in the' inter-faith meeting Dzochen with the community that closes this year, the series of events aimed at developing knowledge and mutual understanding between practitioners of different religious traditions.

The next inter-religious meeting, the last before the summer, will be held on June 6 at 18:30 at the Rome headquarters of the Dzogchen Community, Via Giovanni Miani 5, where we were kindly invited to listen to and deal with their teachings.

I therefore useful to report some preliminary information about it.
Dzogchen or "Great Perfection" is a Tibetan spiritual teaching of very ancient origin, in both its Buddhist traditions and in those Bonpos or pre-Buddhist Tibet.
This teaching, which is not the exclusive patrimony of a school or a religious system, but a knowledge that the Tibetan masters have transmitted over the centuries, with no sectarian limits, is considered the pinnacle of all vehicles, the highest tradition and essential of all the Tibetan schools.
Dzogchen can be defined as a system that leads to self-knowledge, relying primarily on inner awareness and attention to themselves and to others. In this sense, is not a religion but a practice of spiritual progress, aimed at the acquisition of inner freedom and peace.

Chogyal Namkhai Norbu is one of the first teachers to have begun to spread this teaching in the West. Born in Derghe in eastern Tibet in 1938, is considered one of the top living masters of Tibetan Buddhism. He was invited in 1960 in Italy and was professor of Tibetan and Mongolian Language and Literature from 1963 to 1992 at the Istituto Universitario Orientale of Naples, starting to transmit the Dzogchen teaching in Italy and in many other countries. In the 70s he founded the Dzogchen Community, giving rise to different centers around the world, called Gar. In 2000, he established the Roman section, which the Master gave the name Zhenphenling, or "place that brings benefits."

The rapporteur Maria Costantino Albini is a disciple of the master Chogyal Namkhai Norbu and practicing Buddhist for many years. E 'was authorized by the Master to teach courses on meditation, seminars and a course of study and practice in nine steps for practitioners concerned, based on the Santi Maha Sangha.

Thanks for the kind invitation and ... ... we are all in their head!! Elettra

Electra, constantly engaged in seeking a way for a profound dialogue between those who follow spiritual paths, send us a quote from Krishnamurti . E ' taken from a speech of 1929, when he decided to dissolve the organization "Star of the East" of which he was president. If you want you can leave your comments.

"As the truth limitless, unconditional and not accessible through a planned route, whatever it is, can not be organized. You should also establish any organization which has as its purpose to lead or force people to follow certain paths. Once you understand this will understand that it is not possible to organize a belief or faith.
Faith is a strictly individual, and neither you nor can you organize it. If you do become dead, crystallized, a doctrine, a systematic belief, a sect, a religion that must be imposed on others. This is what the world is trying to do.
Truth is imprisoned, rendered banal, reduced to a toy to be allocated to vulnerable people and those who are temporarily unsatisfied "

Women Wear Short Shorts

the evening of the feast day of the doll of salt

Jobst Last night he invited us to a meditative reflection that has been inspired by reading the first fragment of the poetry of Leopardi " the evening of the Sabbath "
Dolce and clear is the night and without wind,

and quiet over the roofs and gardens in the midst of
Laying the moon, and distant
Serena reveals every mountain.

Electra has chosen for us The salt doll from "The Song of the Birds " De Mello.
"A salt doll journeyed to earth for thousands of miles, until finally reached the sea.
He was fascinated by the strange moving mass, completely unlike anything he had seen in his life.
" Who are you? "Churches in the doll of salt to the sea. The sea smiled and answered:
"Come and see"
So the doll he advanced into the sea. And as he walked into the sea as it melted, until little remained of her. Before that last bit dissolved the doll exclaimed in wonder
"Now I know who I am!"

Meeting with Daniele Bollini Community

Within the series of meetings organized inter- by Elettra at the Circle of Cousins Montevecchio, the day of 9 March was dedicated to the presentation of the Shambhala community. We publish here below the report written by Electra.
Rapporteur of the meeting was Prof. Daniela Bollini, leader of the Shambhala Community in the canton of Ticino, who came from Switzerland to make us listen to his teachings.
Its report, lucid and clear as well as emotionally engaging, has very interested in our many speakers.
The fundamental goal of this approach, such as Prof. Bollini has been explained, is to create an "enlightened society", based on peaceful and wise interaction and collaboration of its members.
Prof. Bollini began to distinguish companies who are planning to create their own well-being according to a pseudo-materialist (eg, gross domestic product or the degree of wealth distribution) and those which are proposed and implement different destinations , whose main measure he described as "gross national happiness." From this point of view, it seems that Denmark and Switzerland are the 1st and 2nd place in the world, the U.S. and Italy at 15 ° to 26 °, while a small Himalayan country, Bhutan, although has high rates of illiteracy and poverty, it seems overcome by this point of view most European countries, entering 8th place. Perhaps their secret, says the rapporteur, is the fact that their Buddhist belief has created a high sense of responsibility and right action-and hence a greater welfare-in the belief that, according to the principle of karma, all their actions, good or bad, positive or negative result in unavoidable.
why this country is now considered by some as the modern heir of Shambhala, namely that of an ancient Himalayan kingdom, about 600 years before Christ, was able to create an enlightened society, following the direct instruction given by the Buddha to his sovereign . Some say that such is the kingdom only created a mythical level, others who really existed, but has dissolved when it reached the highest level of illumination, and others that it is still there today, although we are not able to perceive it (this assumption that, at least on a symbolic level , is the closest to the deep Buddhist spirit). Obviously
enlightened society today does not mean a utopian kingdom free of any problem, but a community where problems exist, but are addressed and resolved with a high degree of wisdom.
the historical level, the Shambhala teachings were introduced to the West in recent times by Ghogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, who was born in Tibet in 1939, recognized as a reincarnation of the 11th Trungpa Tulku and then trained from an early age to be a spiritual and political leader, but then forced to flee in 1959, following the invasion and persecution in China, as indeed happened at the same Dalai Lama .
Welcomed at first in India in 1963 went to study at Oxford with a scholarship, founded in 1966 in Scotland a Buddhist meditation center frequented by university students, before which he is aware of the difficulty of communicating with Western the deep heart of Buddhist teachings. After a tragic car accident that causes partial paralysis, is to interpret this incident as a powerful message change imposed from the phenomenal world. He decided to leave England and moved to the USA, where he founded a youth center that is in contact with all the challenge of American beat generation, with new ideals of free sex, drugs, and with the joints in the world with red-hot and ferment in the early seventies. E 'land is not easy, but that will prove most fertile part of old Europe to his teachings that he will continue until death. Begins to reflect and discuss with his students on whether to teach the practice of meditation not only to Buddhist practitioners, but in a secular way, to everyone so that everyone can benefit, in terms of mindfulness and awareness, they are atheists, Christians or other believers.
The Shambhala teachings are then connected to Buddhism at a deep level, but also constitute a current secular, shared by all irrespective of their creed.
'83 are presented for the first time in Europe the 5 levels of Shambhala Meditation, known in Italy only since the mid 90's.
An enlightened society can not be achieved except through the progressive lighting of its individual components.
Progressive Lighting is a progressive discovery of his "basic goodness", a quality that does not belong only to Christ, the Buddha or the great Illuminati, but that is inherent in the mind of each of us as human beings. It is the ability of kindness, compassion, listening, affection, love, appreciation of beauty and everything that the world and offer life, beyond the negative aspects: it is to appreciate the yellow yellow The rossito red ... It 's a natural state of mind, who can be contacted by each of us in varying degrees and in various situations, such as in moments of emotion caused by music or a beautiful work of art, from a smile or a happy event.
Our mind has the ability to connect with the basic goodness not through thinking or reasoning, but in relaxation, "letting be" living in those times without losing them in a hurry or anxiety of everyday life.
This is a huge mental space that is deep within ourselves and belongs to everyone, regardless of social status, skin color or degree of culture, because it is a deeply human quality.
But then, asks Prof. Bollini, why not experience the basic goodness constantly? Shambhala
we replied that we tend to avoid such an experience for a series of thought patterns that we have become slaves to the habit and that we allow. We create a super- complex defenses in the terminology of Shambhala are called "cocoon", a kind of small hut that envelops us in a dark and stuffy, but that also seems to protect us from our fears and deepest fear is that in regard to our own goodness fundamental fear that makes us perceive as extremely dangerous to expose ourselves to others, give birth to our hearts, our feelings and our emotions. We avoid direct contact with our space refuge deeper into superficiality, streamlining or other habitual patterns that seem to protect us defensive, but in reality we are losing touch with the best part of ourselves. How
contacted, beyond the small and sporadic flash yet we allow ourselves?
The method is indicated by Shambhala meditation, namely the concentration of mind on your breathing, to slow down and gradually tame the tumultuous split and bustle of our daily thoughts that are like clouds that obscure the rising sun , that is the source of our vitality and energy. East of the Sun is in fact a powerful symbol of Shambhala, and is just the natural life force energy and basic goodness inherent in all and each of us.
In meditation - like last time we had also explained the Community of Christian Meditation - it is not forcibly suppress thoughts, but let them go with kindness, after they have been intimately known, to return to our concentration on the breath. And 'how to put aside our mindsets, our anxieties and our daily involvement to finally make room for something larger and larger, which is precisely our deep inner space that unites us all.

The Shambhala Shambhala Training Shambhala Training Level V

Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1975 gathered around him a small group of students and they began a centuries-old doctrine, which he called the "teachings of Shambhala." These teachings bring us closer to the ancient and perhaps primordial wisdom and the principles of human behavior that manifested in traditional societies of Tibet, India, China, Japan and Korea. In particular, images and inspiration of these teachings are to be found in the warrior culture of Tibet before Buddhism, culture I keep basic influence in Tibetan society until the Chinese invasion of 1959.
In 1977, during a retreat Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche asked his students to create a secular program of meditation in which he called Shambhala Training. The result was the structuring of a path of practice and study.
The first part of this path is called "The heart of being warriors." This cycle provides the tools you need to establish a discipline personal meditation and discovering the principles of being warriors in everyday life. On weekends, a few months of each other, providing insight into the understanding of who we are and our world. Each weekend consists of:
 • A series of speeches by a senior student.
 • Individual meetings with a meditation instructor.
 • Group discussions
 • periods of sitting and walking meditation

Numbness On Outside Of Knee

Also in the course of history, man has aspired to the creation of enlightened society that expresses the dignity of the human experience. Combining spiritual vision and practice of meditation to daily life, the experience of enlightened society manifests itself by providing a meaningful context for an individual life in a thriving cultural life. This is called "Shambhala vision." The desire to create an enlightened society such as Shambhala or other ideal societies, does not disappear never completely from the human heart, but continues to awaken, even in the midst of aggression, arrogance and depression. This simple truth, which is fundamental and eternal, is the basis of the path of meditation and social action that go beyond the ordinary struggle for survival and for dominance. Based on our connection with meditation and spiritual practice in general, we dive into the world in a gentle, fearless and vision sveglio.La Shambhala combines the deepest appreciation for our ability as individuals and spiritual practitioners, with many often demanding and practical aspects of survival, human relations, education, Being in the community, in a short life in general.
