The novel is set on Venus, where mankind has taken refuge after a nuclear war has destroyed the Earth. The people living in protected reserves, huge domes built underwater at the bottom of the oceans. The Immortals, a small group of families whose members have long lives, control, beyond the façade of democracy, the entire society. And 'one of them, grew up knowing his true identity as an act of madness of his father, to end the placid and slow decline of man, tearing the embryo sac of Reserves and finally bringing it to life on the surface. not particularly important in creative terms, Fury does read, however, happy with the style with which smooth writing and a good storyline.
